Curriculum

At Mater Bay, we use a nationally recognized, research-based curriculum created specifically for young learners. It is designed to meet children where they are developmentally and guide them through meaningful learning experiences that build confidence, creativity, and a love for learning.

At Mater Bay, learning is not only structured; it’s joyful, engaging, and developmentally appropriate. Our goal is to inspire every child to grow academically, socially, and emotionally, laying a strong foundation for success in school and beyond.

Pre-K3, the curriculum focuses on early skill-building through playful exploration. Children develop language, early literacy, number sense, and motor skills while also learning about friendship, cooperation, and self-regulation. Activities are hands-on and engaging, from storytelling and music to art and movement, creating a joyful introduction to school.

Pre-K4, the curriculum grows with the child. Lessons dive deeper into literacy, math, science, and problem-solving, preparing students for kindergarten readiness. Social-emotional development continues to be a priority, helping children build resilience, independence, and positive relationships.

Every day in our classrooms, the curriculum brings together music, movement, interactive lessons, and purposeful play to ensure children are learning in ways that feel natural and exciting to them. It also emphasizes cultural diversity and real-world connections, helping children see the beauty of the world around them.
