Mission
The mission of Mater Academy Cutler Bay is to deliver a rigorous and innovative academic program-producing students who have the knowledge and skills to be self-directed, lifelong learners, which integrate technology and a wide range of educational resources within a safe learning environment. Students are expected to perform at or above grade level availing success in education.
Vision
Our vision is to provide a structured, creative environment that enables students to ask questions, solve problems, and take risks as they gain the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful members of a global society. Mater Academy Cutler Bay is a collaborative teaching and learning environment, which encourages students to develop meaningful interactions within the curriculum.
Principal's Message
Welcome to Mater Bay Academy and to a milestone year—our 10th anniversary! A decade ago, we opened our doors with a bold vision: a K–12 community where leadership is cultivated, and every student is known, challenged, and supported. Today, that vision of K-12 is thriving across our expanding campus and vibrant academic and athletic programs.
We are proud to share that our Lower School (Elementary), Middle School, and Upper School (High School) are all A+ rated schools. In 2025, we were named Schools of Excellence and ranked in the top 3% of elementary schools statewide, as well as in the top 5% of both middle and high schools. These distinctions reflect the dedication of our teachers, the drive of our students, and the support of our families.
In these first ten years, our students have earned top academic honors, industry-recognized certifications, and admissions to outstanding colleges and universities. They’ve competed with heart on the field and stage, served our community with purpose, and discovered their passions through our signature academies and clubs. Most importantly, they’ve grown into scholars and leaders ready to make an impact.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we’re also investing in the future—enhancing safety and mobility on campus, modernizing learning spaces, and expanding opportunities in academics & athletics. Our pillars—Innovation, Scholar, Leadership, Pride, Excellence, and Service—continue to guide every decision as we elevate the Mater Bay experience for every child.
From our first classrooms to today’s multi-building campus, our commitment remains the same: empowering every student to learn with curiosity, lead with character, and serve with pride.
